SABHI aspires to be an incubator that fosters a coalition of South Asian practitioners,  supporting and connecting us. We imagine a Pacific Northwest that has resourced, supported South Asian mental wellness providers who are held together in community, accountability, and generosity in order to move us toward collective liberation, which in a ripple effect will extend out to our clients, their families and friends, and our communities as a whole.

 

We promote collective liberation, which we define as an understanding that without the liberation of those who are Dalit, queer, trans, and most impacted by colorism, we cannot all be free. We are not an insulated group; we acknowledge and hold ourselves accountable to the idea that our liberation is inextricably tied to the liberation of oppressed, non-South Asian communities.
